Dental veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth. They correct a wide range of cosmetic dental issues including discoloration, chips, gaps, misalignment, and uneven teeth.
At Dr. Smile by Dr. Carine, we offer two types of veneers:
Porcelain Veneers (Emax Ceramic)
Emax porcelain veneers are the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry. They are fabricated in a dental laboratory from high-strength lithium disilicate ceramic, offering exceptional translucency, stain resistance, and durability. Porcelain veneers typically last 10-20 years.
Composite Veneers
Composite veneers are applied directly to your teeth in a single visit using tooth-colored composite resin. They are a more affordable option and can be completed same-day, lasting 5-7 years with proper care.
Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
Natural Translucency
Emax ceramic mimics the light-reflecting properties of natural tooth enamel for an incredibly realistic appearance.
Stain Resistant
Porcelain veneers resist coffee, tea, wine, and food stains, keeping your smile bright for years.
10-20 Year Durability
With proper care, Emax veneers last 10-20 years — a long-term investment in your smile.
Minimally Invasive
Only 0.3-0.5mm of enamel is removed — preserving most of your natural tooth structure.
Custom Color Matching
Each veneer is individually color-matched to achieve your desired shade — from natural white to brilliant Hollywood white.
Corrects Multiple Issues
Veneers fix discoloration, chips, gaps, misalignment, and uneven teeth in one treatment.
The Veneer Procedure
Step 1: Consultation & Smile Design
Dr. Carine examines your teeth, discusses your aesthetic goals, and uses digital smile design to create a preview of your new smile. Together, you select the ideal shade, shape, and size for your veneers.
Step 2: Tooth Preparation
A thin layer of enamel (0.3-0.5mm) is gently removed from the front surface of your teeth. Impressions are taken and sent to the dental lab. Temporary veneers are placed to protect your teeth.
Step 3: Veneer Bonding
Your custom Emax porcelain veneers are carefully bonded to your teeth using dental adhesive. Dr. Carine makes final adjustments to ensure perfect fit, alignment, and bite comfort.
